Frequently Asked Questions

How much is my session?

Each session is 50 minutes long and costs £45.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually the client has 6 sessions, but this can be adapted up or down to suit. We can discuss this as part of the introductory session.

How do I make an appointment?

I offer a free 20 minute consultation to explore how we could work together. The time enables me to see how I can help you  and for you to ask any questions about the process. Simply contact me so we can arrange a mutually agreeable time. I aim respond on the same day , but please bear with me if I take a little longer. If you feel comfortable, it is helpful to share some key points on the matter about what you would like to discuss.

What happens during the free initial consultation?

I will ask you to briefly explain your situation and why you are seeking counselling. I will explain how I work with clients and we can explore how I may be able to help you. I can answer any questions you may have.

At the end of the consultation, you will have the option to book  a 50 minute session, or you may need some more time to think about it. That’s absolutely fine. There is no obligation to book at this time.

Do you offer face to face sessions?

Not at present.

What type of sessions do you offer?

I offer  online video (via Zoom) sessions, Skype, Whatsapp,  telephone sessions, and also outdoor therapy. Find out more about outdoor therapy here. (coming soon)

If you opt for video (zoom) or telephone sessions, I send full joining instructions prior to the meeting, so that we can make the most of our time together.

Is counselling confidential?

What you say in counselling is confidential and what we discuss stays between us. However, there are a few exceptions to this, which I will discuss at our first meeting.

Do you work in the evening and weekends?

Yes. I work in the evenings and on Saturday mornings.

My opening times are:

· Monday – Friday  5:30pm - 8:30pm

· Saturday – 10:00am  - 1:00pm
